There have been a number of reports this evening claiming
that Manchester United have agreed a fee in principal with Galatasaray
for the sale of Nani.
It is being reported by LigTV that the winger will join the
Turkish club after rejecting the advances of Monaco. Nani’s agent Jorge
Mendes has been working closely with Monaco as the French club have
spent £130m in just over a week bringing in reinforcements in
preparation for an assault on ligue 1, but it appears Nani is one player
that won’t be joining them, as he prefers a move to the Turkish
champions.
The legitimacy of these reports are yet to be ascertained but a
number of Turkish outlets have reported that Turkey is Nani’s preferred
destination, with Fatih Terim’s side holding the advantage over Monaco
by being able to offer Champions League football.
Nani almost left the club last summer with Zenit St Petersburg his
destination but the move broke down. He now has just a year left on his
current deal and as talks between player and club for a new deal reached
an impasse, it lead to him being used sparingly this season.
There has been no mention of a fee as of yet.
