Ronaldo to meet with UNITED officials in the next 72 hours

Cristiano Ronaldo is set to meet with Manchester United officials in the next 72 hours.

El Pais confirms he is due to meet Old Trafford officials in the next three days.

The Portugal captain could meet with United officials before heading back to pre-season training in Madrid.
Recently retired manager at Old Trafford Sir Alex Ferguson had been courting Ronaldo, who is believed to want the opportunity to represent the team who set him on his way to becoming one of the best players in the world.

Madrid president Florentino Perez was adamant the £80million forward would sign a new deal to keep him in the Spanish capital, but Ronaldo took to social media to dismiss the claims.

Strootman off to United

PSV's Kevin Strootman is rumoured to be off to English champions Manchester United.

After tracking the box to box midfield for several months the signing of Strootman now seems inevitable with several bookmakers suspending bets on where the Dutch midfielder will end up next season.

New manager David Moyes has identified the midfield as a key area that needs strengthening in the United squad and reportedly feels the 23 year old Dutchman will go some way to filling the gap left behind by the retired Paul Scholes. The versatile midfielder can perform in a variety of roles but is best suited as a box to box midfielder, the type of player United are in dire need of.

It is believed Strootman would lift some of the pressure off of last season?s star midfielder Michael Carrick and would be a suitable partner to the ageing Englishman. The arrival of the PSV man would enable Carrick to venture forward more, something which he was seldom able to do last season due to his defensive responsibilities.

It is rumoured the transfer fee would be in the region of ?17 million although no official confirmation of a transfer has come from either party involved

UNITED agree fee for Nani sale

There have been a number of reports this evening claiming that Manchester United have agreed a fee in principal with Galatasaray for the sale of .

It is being reported by LigTV that the winger will join the Turkish club after rejecting the advances of Monaco. Nani’s agent Jorge Mendes has been working closely with Monaco as the French club have spent £130m in just over a week bringing in reinforcements in preparation for an assault on ligue 1, but it appears Nani is one player that won’t be joining them, as he prefers a move to the Turkish champions.

The legitimacy of these reports are yet to be ascertained but a number of Turkish outlets have reported that Turkey is Nani’s preferred destination, with Fatih Terim’s side holding the advantage over Monaco by being able to offer Champions League football.

Nani almost left the club last summer with Zenit St Petersburg his destination but the move broke down. He now has just a year left on his current deal and as talks between player and club for a new deal reached an impasse, it lead to him being used sparingly this season.

There has been no mention of a fee as of yet.

Nistelrooy tells Rooney to leave UNITED

In the wake of Wayne Rooney’s transfer request at Manchester United, his former team-mate at Old Trafford, Ruud van Nistelrooy, believes there is no point Rooney being there any longer if he wants to move away.
The Dutchman said “if he is not fully committed it is probably best to move on.” Advertisers have even got in on the act with an electric hoarding at last night’s England v Brazil game adorned with the words “Desperate to get away like Wayne?”
The likelihood appears to be a move abroad with Paris Saint-Germain ready to pay Rooney up to £300K a week wages.
If he stays in England Arsenal could be one destination with Arsène Wenger reported to be interested in the possibility of taking him to the Emirates next season.

Nani off to Monaco

According to the Sunday People Nani is set to join big-spending Ligue 1 side Monaco for £20m.
Nani has been unable to convince United that he is worth a new contract and has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford for the last 12 months, but this one seems to be the most likely to happen.
The reason for that is Nani’s agent is Jorge Mendes’s who has already directed his clients, James Rodriguez, Joao Moutinho and Falcao towards Monaco.
David Moyes is expected to have a transfer budget of £60m plus whatever funds he raises from selling players. So if Nani goes for £20, Moyes will have close to £80m to revamp the champions.
