Juventus Director: Vidal could leave for UNITED

Juventus managing director Giuseppe Marotta has admitted that star midfielder Arturo Vidal could choose to leave the club for Manchester United.

The Italian was quizzed on the subject by a host of foreign reporters at a press conference this afternoon, when he unveiled Massimiliano Allegri as the club’s new manager.

Predecessor Antonio Conte some hours after holding crisis talks with the Turin giants’ hierarchy about the future of Chile international Vidal.

And while Marotta hopes to keep him beyond the summer, he failed to categorically dismiss growing speculation that the Red Devils will land him in the coming weeks.

He said: “Vidal is a Juventus player and we did not ever put him up for sale.

“We have never sat down at a table to deal with it. Having said that, from experience, I say that it is often a player who decides his own future.

“He has repeatedly expressed his happiness to stay in Turin and if this is confirmed we will happily continue together.”

United consider releasing Kagawa

Manchester United's Shinji Kagawa is being linked with a shock return to former club Borussia Dortmund.

United boss David Moyes is struggling to find a place for the Japan international in his playing system and hooked him at halftime of their dismal defeat to West Bromwich Albion.

According to BILD, BVB coach Jurgen Klopp would welcome back Kagawa in January, which has opened the door for Moyes to discuss a swap deal involving defender Neven Subotic.

Subotic is being discussed inside Carrington as United coach seek a hard working centre-half signing for the winter market.

United made Bale bid.

Manchester United have made a bid for Tottenham star Gareth Bale.

According to Marc , Spurs also received an £85m offer for Bale from Paris St-Germain two months ago - and chairman Daniel Levy is using that to hike up the price that Real Madrid will have to pay.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has received more offers besides those of Real Madrid and PSG, the most significant coming from Manchester United.

United to increase bid for Fabregas

Manchester United are ready to go higher after making an opening bid for Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas.

The Daily Mail says Moyes has made an offer of £26 million for Cesc in the past 24 hours.

Arsenal have first refusal on Fabregas at a fixed price of £25m, an agreement that was struck when they sold him. Arsenal are also entitled to 50 per cent of any profit from his next move.

However, United are serious about the Barca star and will increase their bid above £30m if they feel that is what it takes.

Barca expect Thiago to be part of pre-season training

Barcelona spokesman Toni Freixa has confirmed that the club expects Thiago to be part of pre-season training that starts on Monday.

“We have the players we have. Thiago is one of those and he’ll start pre-season with the team as expected,” he told Radio Catalunya.

David Moyes admitted that he wanted to wrap up a transfer before the team left on Wednesday to start their pre-season tour but that now looks unlikely.

Typically in the past, United have done their business early in the window to give the new players as long as possible to settle like we did with Kagawa and Powell last year, who were both unveiled in the first press conference of the summer but it seems that United could be in for a long summer of waiting.

“The way the transfer window works, I think things might be done a little bit later in some cases this year,” Moyes said.

“There are quite a few new managers in. I don’t think everything will be done right away. But if you had the ideal position, you’d get your players in as soon as you could.”

The Thiago saga has already been going on for a few weeks but it seems that Thiago’s dad and agent Mazinho doesn’t even know what is going on with his son right now, so it certainly looks like this one could drag on for a while longer.

UNITED turn attention to PSG ace

According to Sports Direct News, Manchester United are planning a bid for Italian defensive midfielder Verratti.

The youngster was played a vital part in Italy’s Euro U21′s tournament, helping them reach the final, unfortunately losing in the final.

It is understood Verratti wants talks with the French club after watching his previous boss move to Real Madrid. It is believed United have already had an approach for the starlet rebuffed last month.

This would be a brilliant move for the Red Devils, Veratti is very similar to Paul Scholes, and could be the type of player that will strengthen Man United’s squad.

Pallister: Moyes building his own 'boot room' at Man Utd

Former Red Devils defender Gary Pallister, an ex-team-mate of Giggs’, says Moyes could be trying to set up something similar to the famous Anfield boot-room. 

Back in the 1970s and ’80s the ‘Liverpool Way’ was to promote from within and install managers who had the club very much at heart. 

And United will be spoilt for choice with Paul Scholes, now a full-time coach with the reserves after hanging up his boots in May, and Nicky Butt also working at the club. 

Pallister, 48, said: “Taking Ryan and Phil on to the coaching staff gives continuity. 

“David Moyes is his own man, has brought in his own staff and will want to do things his own way. But I can see it being a little bit like the old Liverpool way. 

“When a club is so successful you want to keep things ticking along without changing things too much.”
He added: “Phil has always made it clear that coaching was something he was interested in, so it has always seemed a natural progression. 

“With Ryan, maybe it is a bit more of a surprise. I didn’t know he was thinking of moving in that direction until it came out he was doing his coaching badges. 

“He has a wealth of experience to pass on and he will be able to guide players about how to deal with the trappings of being a superstar while making a huge impact in the game at a very young age.

“He has seen it all in 20-odd years at the club — he has worked with some big characters and under the best manager ever seen in British football.”

Ronaldo to meet with UNITED officials in the next 72 hours

Cristiano Ronaldo is set to meet with Manchester United officials in the next 72 hours.

El Pais confirms he is due to meet Old Trafford officials in the next three days.

The Portugal captain could meet with United officials before heading back to pre-season training in Madrid.
Recently retired manager at Old Trafford Sir Alex Ferguson had been courting Ronaldo, who is believed to want the opportunity to represent the team who set him on his way to becoming one of the best players in the world.

Madrid president Florentino Perez was adamant the £80million forward would sign a new deal to keep him in the Spanish capital, but Ronaldo took to social media to dismiss the claims.

Real received 100 million Euro offer for Ronaldo

Real Madrid have received an offer over €100 MILLION cash to sell Cristiano Ronaldo.

Punto Pelota says the offer is closer to €150 million, though the club has not been identified. It has been confirmed, however, that AS Monaco are not the club in question.

Real know the bid is on the table, as does Ronaldo, who has been told he won't be sold for less than €100 million this summer.

The former Manchester United star has two years left on his current Real deal.

Barcelona willing to sell UNITED target

Barcelona vice-president Josep Maria Bartomeu says they're prepared to sell Cesc Fabregas - if he demands a move.

Manchester United and former club Arsenal are being linked with the Spain international this summer.

Cesc has insisted he wants to stay at the Nou Camp and Bartomeu said: "Cesc will leave from Barcelona only if he'll ask."
